It can be difficult to find therapists who specialize in eating disorders snd perfectionism. It can be even more difficult to find someone with whom you connect! Therefore, I offer teletherapy through a secure video platform (HIPAA compliant) so that you may access therapy from anywhere. You can do therapy from the comfort of your home, office, dorm, or other private venue!
Now, more than ever, online therapy can provide comfort and support. Eating disorders love to operate in isolation. They love to be your one and only lifeline. I am here to tell you that you are not alone. This time is incredibly stressful for everyone, and your usual coping strategies may not be working. We can work together through this period of uncertainty and manage symptoms as well as make progress toward your goals. You do not need to give up hope. I am here for you, to listen, to support, and to offer tools to manage stress.
Some FAQs about teletherapy:
Is teletherapy the same cost as in-person therapy? Yes, the cost is the same for either form of therapy, since we will still be doing quality work in either medium.
Is teletherapy right for me? Short answer: yes! Longer answer: teletherapy can allow you to access a service that may otherwise not be available to you. I can see clients when they leave home for college, when they travel, and when they are not living in the same geographical location as I am. It is essentially the same as in-person therapy, just from where ever is comfortable for you! You can squeeze it in from your office at work, on a break from class, or while your kiddo naps.
