Fees and Insurance

Therapy is billed at $225 per 45-50 minute session.

I accept cash, check, and most major credit cards, as well as HSA payments.

Therapy is an investment. An investment in your future and the path you want to create for yourself. You are worth it!

Insurance

I am currently not an “in-network” provider for insurance companies.  However, many of my clients are able to list me as an “out-of-network” provider.  Clients using this approach pay for sessions at the time of service and then receive reimbursement for therapy services directly from their insurance companies.  Please check with your provider to find out about your out-of-network benefits.*  If you would like to use insurance in this manner, I will provide you with monthly billing statements that can be submitted to your insurance company.  Alternatively, I can submit the bill directly to your insurance company as a courtesy to you. Please note that if I do submit this information, it will require a diagnosis code.

I have made the choice not to accept insurance due to insurance companies requiring a great deal of personal health information to approve sessions, and they often require a diagnosis that meets a certain severity level (determined by them). Your privacy is important to me, and I do not think that a certain diagnosis should prohibit or warrant services. Additionally, companies can dictate the number of sessions and/or types of services a client receives. I want to be able to best serve you and come up with a treatment plan that will be individually tailored to your needs. I choose to dedicate my time to being present with my clients versus negotiating with insurance companies.

*Questions to ask your insurance company:

Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy with a licensed psychologist? What are the benefits?

Is there a limit to the number of sessions I can use under these benefits?

What percentage of the service fee is covered?

Do I need to submit any forms to use my out-of-network benefits?
